I. Our EMI Teaching Resource Center, in collaboration with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia, is offering a customized, off-campus training program for EMI teachers. The program covers EMI curriculum design, AI and UDL (Universal Design of Learning) applications, and teaching research practice. The course emphasizes practical strategies for EMI teaching and assessment and encourages teachers to develop EMI-related teaching research projects (SoTL) to promote teaching innovation and professional growth through a combination of theory and practice.
II. Training Period: February 1st to February 15th, 2026.
III. Location: University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
IV. Target Audience: Full-time EMI teachers (including project and contract teachers) from universities and colleges across Taiwan.
V. Application Period: From now until December 8th, 2025. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until all places are filled.
VI. Application Method: Each university's bilingual unit should recommend a teacher to participate. Each college can recommend a maximum of one EMI teacher. Applicants must submit the following materials to the online form:
(I) Recommendation form.
(II) A letter of recommendation from the head of the bilingual unit.
(III) EMI course syllabus.
(IV) A three-minute self-introduction video in English (explaining motivation and expectations).
VII. Course Subsidy and Fees: Tuition fees will be fully covered by the center's program; accommodation, meals, airfare, visa fees, and personal expenses are the responsibility of the applicant. Teachers may apply for subsidies for overseas training from their respective schools' bilingual programs, subject to the school's regulations.
