1. The Ministry of Education has forwarded a notification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare regarding the Second Public Call for Proposals under the “Fiscal Year 115 (2026) Rare Disease Prevention and Control Grant Program,” along with one copy of the application guidelines (see attachment).

2. Program Description:
(1) Funding Priorities for Fiscal Year 115 (2026):

Cultivation of essential professional personnel required for research, diagnosis, testing, and treatment related to rare disease prevention and control.

Conduct of academic and clinical research related to rare disease prevention and control.

Procurement of specialized equipment required for research, diagnosis, testing, and treatment related to rare disease prevention and control.

Promotion of academic exchange and public outreach related to rare disease prevention and control.

(2) Funding Amount:
For cross-institutional integrated projects, the maximum subsidy is NT$3 million per institution per year, calculated based on the number of participating institutions. Multi-year projects are limited to a maximum duration of four years.
For single-institution projects, the maximum subsidy is NT$1 million per year, subject to approval based on project content following review. Multi-year projects are limited to a maximum duration of three years.
