Announcement of the Abolition of the STUST Regulations for Incentives to Enhance Students’ Foreign Language Proficiency

At the Administrative Meeting held on April 27, 2026, it was approved to abolish the “STUST Regulations for Incentives to Enhance Students’ Foreign Language Proficiency,” which had been in effect since 2002.

Effective immediately, applications from general students for subsidies for English proficiency test registration fees and for outstanding performance awards in English and Japanese proficiency tests will be processed in accordance with the “Guidelines for the Subsidy and Incentive Program to Enhance Students’ Foreign Language Proficiency under the Higher Education Sprout Project at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology.”

Applications from economically disadvantaged students for subsidies for English certification test registration fees will be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations for financial support and certification assistance programs.
