To encourage the use of public transportation during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday period, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has introduced several fare discount programs.
From June 18 (one day before the holiday period) through June 21, passengers traveling on any of the 85 designated intercity bus routes will receive a 40% fare discount (60% of the regular fare). Combined with the TPASS 2.0 promotional program, fares may be discounted by up to 58%, equivalent to paying only 42% of the regular fare.
In addition, passengers who use the same electronic ticket card to transfer from Taiwan Railways (TRA), Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR), or intercity bus services to local city bus or highway bus services within 10 hours may enjoy a free basic fare or free initial mileage segment. Additional promotional benefits include free rides on designated Happiness Bus routes.
Faculty members and students are encouraged to take advantage of these public transportation incentives to reduce travel expenses and support environmentally friendly transportation.
