The Competitive Cheerleaders of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology participated in the College Cheerleading Championships of the Republic of China of the 107th Academic Year, organized by the National Sports Association of the Republic of China in Shinchuang Gymnasium of New Taipei City. They won second place in the 5-Men-and-Women Mixed Group and eighth place in the "General Mixed Group with their brilliant performances.

The championship had a total of 13 competition groups, with as many as 95 teams signing up. The athletic cheerleading team of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology performed very well in the competition, with skills of high difficulty levels in their design that came with a strong and powerful rhythm in transitions and speeding actions. Their dances was innovative and interesting. They won second place in the 5-Men-and-Women Mixed Group with their excellent performance.

Yu-Han Chen, Captain of the Athletic Cheerleaders, and Shao-An Chiu, Chairman of Cheerleaders’ Club at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, said that they were particularly grateful to the school for its support, to the guidance of all the coaches, and to graduated seniors for their guidance in practice. Captain Chen further said that he hoped that the department would hold an inter-team cheerleading competition at the end of the year. The Competitive Cheerleading Team of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has entered its 18th year since the founding of the Republic of China. It is a long-established physical fitness club of the University. There are also many graduate alumni on the same day, and they built a powerful refueling group from all over Taiwan, making a number of refueling slogans to cheer for the team before going to the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
