The "Positioning Platform with Error Compensation System," which won the Best Potential Award, developed by Kun-Shu Zao and You-Wei Chen from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, directed by Prof. Chih-Liang Chu, Dean of the School of Engineering. , instructing Master Student Chen Youwei (Alma Mater National North Gate Senior. This work is a high-precision positioning platform developed by the integrated five-degree-of-freedom nano-positioning platform and five-free measurement system. This platform can greatly improve the positioning accuracy of the platform. The key technology of this platform autonomy has been fully grasped, and the technology can be applied to positioning equipment of domestic machine tools and automated optical inspection industries. The work "Smart Truss Rack," which won the Best Application Award, was developed by Kai-Shin Chang and Min-Yan Shie, directed by Prof. Hua-Feng Chang from the Department of Electronic Engineering. This work is a combination of recreational fishing aids developed by 3D printing and wireless sensing technology. In addition to its capability of instantly sending a fish message to the mobile phone, the smart truss rack can adjust the sensitivity according to the wind and waves of the fishing ground to reduce the chance of misjudgment, so that the fisherman can enjoy the fun of the fish in complete relaxation.

Dr. Deng-Maw Lu, President of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, said that in addition to its commitment to innovative product research and development, industry-university cooperation, and technology transfer, the university spares no effort in developing the outstanding manpower needed to cultivate future technological development. The award-winning students concretely implemented creative ideas into innovative technical works through their teamwork. The various professional and industrial application technologies acquired by students in the process of developing their works can enable students to be directly integrated into the workplace and the industry, and promote the development of students' entrepreneurship
