The China Youth Corps recently held the 2022 Youth Day National Outstanding Youth Commendation Conference. Yutong Yeh from the Department of Finance and Finance of STUST and Zi-Hao Chen from the Department of Information Engineering won the National Outstanding Youth Award. With their excellent performance in school, rich club experience, active services, and school activity organization, they were regarded as models of outstanding young people in the country.

Yu-Tong Yeh, who won the National College Outstanding Youth Award this time, joined the student union in her freshman year and actively assisted in various activities of the student union. In her second year, she served as the deputy director of the social affairs department, which gave her a further understanding of the operation and development of student self-government organizations. After training, she was elected president of the student union in her junior year, which enabled her to put her ideals into practice and then gain sufficient experience in organizational work. During this period, her enriching experience of club activities made her college life colorful, and many unexpected transformations occurred in her life. Yu-Tong Yeh said that during her studies at STUST, she held large-scale activities such as club activities and concerts and served as a student representative for various on-campus meetings. It was a great honor to be elected as the outstanding youth of colleges and universities in the country. At the same time, she also encouraged students of lower grades to participate in club activities and enrich their college lives.

Another award-winning student, Zi-Hao Chen, from the Department of Human Resources and Works, joined the department as the public relations director since his sophomore year, and co-organized and hosted various activities as general, deputy, and captain. In his junior year, he was elected as the president of the Student Council. He played an important role in leading the council to supervise the administration of the student union, exercising the right to inquire and reviewing the budget and final accounts proposed by the administration center of the student union. Zi-Hao Chen said that from entering the campus to the moment he is about to graduate, he participated in many activities during his schooling, experienced different experiences, met all kinds of people, and benefited a lot. He thanked everyone for making his university life so fulfilling and amazing; he also thanked the school for giving him the opportunity to have made great progress and growth.

Deng-Maw Lu, President of STUST, expressed his gratitude for the excellent performances of the two students.
