The Science and Technology Baseball Carnival, originally scheduled to be jointly hosted by the Tainan City Government and STUST in early September, was postponed to November 4, due to the typhoon. It made its grand debut at the Tainan Asia Pacific International Baseball Training Center. This event especially invited two elite domestic women's baseball teams, including Taipei City University and Taiwan Sports University, together with four young baseball teams, including Tainan City Shiejin Elementary School, Yizai Elementary School, Yongshin Elementary School, and Liren Elementary School. In a great combination of sports and sports technology, they played a unique exhibition game.

Deputy Mayor Ching-hui Chao of Tainan City Government said that Tainan is the capital of baseball, and sports technology would be a boost to Tainan’s baseball culture; it would also promote baseball and produce more creativity and business opportunities. This competition, which combines technology and baseball, brought together the sports technology capabilities of STUST, National Cheng Kung University, Tsinghua University, startup passing and receiving laboratories, and the Industrial Technology Research Institute. It was hoped that viewers could enjoy the game through online live broadcasts and large screens at the game site, allowing audiences to experience professional event reports combined with sports technology. While watching the game, audiences could understand the technical presentation, including the athletes' running data, movement trajectories, and the main viewing angle strike zone, allowing them to watch the game from an expert's perspective and experience a different viewing experience after the integration of technology and sports.

In order to allow the audience to have a deeper understanding of technological baseball, the organizer especially set up a number of experience facilities. In addition to setting up a smart bullpen on site to present the technological training model of baseball pitching, it also set up virtual catchers, pitchers, and ball type identification, People could experience activities such as reaction training and kinetic chain training prescriptions for baseball players at various on-site facilities, and learn about their own scientific data performance in various sports observations.
