The 2023 19th International Symposium on Knowledge Economy and Global Management, hosted by STUST, was recently held at the Niantzi International Conference Hall of STUST. Professor Jinichiro Yamada of Kyoto University in Japan was invited to give an opening speech at the meeting. About 300 people attended the conference, including academic leaders from France, Germany, Japan and other countries, well-known international scholars, and academic elites from domestic universities. The event was unprecedented and could be called a rare academic event in the business and management field in the southern region after the pandemic.

This seminar adopted an open call for papers, and after review and evaluation, a total of 38 papers were invited to be published at the seminar. The two-day agenda would be divided into 8 seminar sessions, each with paper presentations and in-depth discussions on different topics. The topics discussed this year at the conference included such popular topics as ESG and AI, marketing and consumer behavior, knowledge economy and knowledge management, e-commerce and emerging business models, organizational research, industrial management and operation research, corporate governance and corporate ethics, etc. As each topic is the most important research topic in the current field of business management, so it attracted many scholars and graduate students to participate in the discussion.

De-guang Chou, Vice President of STUST, pointed out in his opening speech that in view of the importance of internationalization, STUST has also actively improved the internationalization of the campus in recent years. In addition to holding regular international academic seminars every year, it also sends doctoral and master's students to universities. Some students go to sister schools in the United States, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, and other European regions to study for double degrees. At the same time, STUST has currently recruited students from more than 30 different countries and nearly five hundred international students to study at the school. STSUT, which currently has eight doctoral, master, and undergraduate degree programs taught entirely in English, is actively recruiting students from all over the world. Among them, the business management doctoral program, the global business management master's program (GMBA), and the undergraduate international business program of Nantai College of Business and Management are all taught in English and recruiting international students. This shows that STUST is very active in promoting internationalization, and its internationalization performance has been highly recognized by the Ministry of Education and all sectors of the society. In the future, it will continue to invest resources and continue to expand and deepen international academic exchanges.
