STUST recently held a presentation conference on the results of the Tainan City Food Safety and Hygiene Management System Plan. The 2024 Excellent Catering Hygiene Store and Low Carbon Diet Age-Friendly Mobile Restaurant Certification Ceremony was held to commend high-quality catering operators and provide consumers with better quality choice. Through demonstration and certification activities, food businesses are encouraged to strengthen independent management and food safety expertise, further enhance management efficiency and industrial competitiveness, and ensure consumer food safety. STUST has undertaken the Food Safety and Hygiene Management System Project commissioned by the Tainan City Government for eight consecutive years, actively assisting food businesses to strengthen independent management, including environmental sanitation management, raw material and storage management, employee personal hygiene management and toilet hygiene Management and other coaching measures. In addition, it also assists the Tainan City Government in carrying out the 2024 catering hygiene management grading assessment, awarding "Excellent" or "Good" grade labels to businesses that pass the assessment based on the assessment results, and providing consumers with a reference for choosing stores and restaurants.

This year, 291 catering operators participated in the catering hygiene assessment and were awarded "Excellent" and "Good" labels at the results presentation conference to commend the efforts of the operators. At the same time, the list of excellent businesses has been published on the official website of the Bureau of Health and Hygiene, Tainan City, and the excellent store map of the Tainan City Food Safety Management Platform. Store information is displayed in conjunction with Google Maps and store street views to facilitate tourists and consumers to make reference choices. In the future, we hope that more catering operators committed to improving dining quality will join the ranks of excellent hygienic stores, further promoting the quality improvement of Tainan's food industry, providing consumers with a safe and healthy food experience, and showcasing the culinary charm of Tainan City.
