STUST is now the first private university of science and technology in Taiwan to establish a formal partnership with the Institute for Information Industry. The partnership spans several key areas, including personnel exchange and joint recruitment, research collaboration and training, shared use of venues and equipment, and the joint establishment of research centers or laboratories. This reflects a comprehensive and in-depth cooperation model between the two parties. Equal Emphasis on Theory and Practice: Co-Cultivating “Generative AI Sustained Engineers”

According to the terms of the collaboration, beginning in the 114th academic year, the College of Business Administration at STUST will launch a new course titled “Generative AI Sustained Engineering: Fundamentals and Practice” as part of the GMBA. The course content and teaching materials will be co-developed by STUST and the Institute for Information Industry, placing equal emphasis on theoretical foundations and hands-on practice. The course is designed to cultivate students' abilities to apply AI in real-world scenarios.Students enrolled in the course will be eligible to take the “Generative AI Sustained Engineer” professional certification exam, organized by Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the Institute for Information Industry’s. This credential significantly enhances their competitiveness in the AI-driven job market. In addition, the Institute for Information Industry will offer summer internship opportunities, with top-performing students having the chance to transition into formal employment—creating a seamless career pathway from education to AI industry for STUST students.

Innovative Courses Approved by the Ministry of Labor: Advancing Industrial AI Talent Development

In addition to the new master’s-level course, STUST and the Institute for Information Industry have successfully collaborated to apply for the Ministry of Labor’s Industry New Vanguard Program. Their joint proposal, the course “AI Strategy and AI Marketing Practice Class,” has been officially approved and will soon be open for registration.

This course further extends the practical training model in AI talent development, providing professionals from various sectors with in-depth training in AI and AI marketing. It is a direct response to Taiwan’s urgent demand for skilled talent capable of driving digital and AI transformation.Through this strategic alliance, STUST and the Institute for Information Industry will jointly build an innovative, industry-integrated teaching platform, deepen cooperation in AI teaching and research, and help strengthen Taiwan’s core capabilities in future AI technology. As the first model of its kind nationwide—a partnership between a private university of science and technology and the Institute for Information Industry—this collaboration sets a new benchmark for vocational education in Taiwan. It aims to continuously produce AI talent equipped with both sustainability awareness and technological prowess, bolstering Taiwan’s leadership in the global AI economy.

STUST’s College of Business Administration Continues to Shine: AI Technology and International Certification Build a Cradle for AI Talent

President Neng-fu Huang of STUST emphasized that the collaboration with the Institute for Information Industry is built on the university’s strong educational foundation and internationally recognized achievements. This strategic partnership not only represents the first alliance between a private university of science and technology and the Institute for Information Industry, but also showcases STUST’s leadership in AI technology and international certification. Among Taiwan’s vocational institutions, the College of Business Administration at STUST stands out. As early as 2017, it was officially accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and it successfully passed re- accreditation in 2022. STUST remains the only private university of science and technology in Taiwan to achieve this distinction. Its excellence in teaching and its strong international alignment are widely recognized.

This honor not only boosts the confidence of faculty and students but also lays a solid foundation for the current collaboration with the Institute for Information Industry.
