2018/9/6 The interdisciplinary AAAS team formed by the Department of Innovative Product Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and the Department of Medical Engineering, NCKU, won a gold medal and a bronze medal in EMedic Global 2018 Engineering Design Competition. EMedic Global 2018 was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong by the end of August. The AAAS team formed by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and National Cheng Kung University, with their work "Development of an AI-based Pulse Audiogram (PAG) Device for Heart Disease Screening and Pathophysiological Condition Recognition,” 2018/8/17 Students of Department of Hospitality Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology University, won gold and silver medals with their brilliant performances in the 48th National Skills Competition and the 45th International Skills Competition. The 48th National Skills Competition and the 45th International Skills Competition National Hand Selection Competition," sponsored by the Ministry of Labor, were respectively held in Labor Academy, Overseas Chinese University, and Jiayang Senior High School. 2018/8/16 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Chi Mei Hospital worked together to create new achievements: "multi-functional mobility aids cane" for the safety of the elderly. "Multi-functional mobility aids cane," completed by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Chi Mei Hospital, won first place in the 2018 Medical Aids 3D Print Competition hosted by AI_ROBOT@I-Shou University STEAM Base, bring forth new assistance to disabled elderly. 2018/8/14 2018 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Nan Jeon University of Science and Technology rode together into the ancient Yuejin, roaming Yanshiue and have fun with punching. The project team of "Creation and Dissemination of Cultural Elements—Fucheng v.s. Yuejin," formed by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology's, for the first time co-organized with its partner Nan Rong University of Science and Technology an event called "Roaming into ancient Yuejin and punching through Yanshiue Town.” 2018/7/24 Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, showed great performance, with its start company Re□Less winning the champion in the 2018 CHU Micro Entrepreneurship Competition. The startup team directed by Chairman Hui-Ling Chen of the Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won the championship in the 2018 CHU Micro-Entrepreneurship Competition, organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Chung Hwa University of Science and Technology.   [Previous page]   Page 145    [Next page]
