2017/3/9 Actively promotion and development of talent exchange with Malaysia: President Chien Tai of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, along with Tainan President Chien Tai of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, along with Mayer Lai and Tainan City University Union, visited the University of Malaya, Federation of Alumni A Association of Alumni Associations of 2017/3/2 2017 Thailand Invention Day: Department of Electronic Engineering, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won 2 silver medals. In the 2017 Thailand Invention Day, the team from Taiwan, led by the Secretary-General Man-Li Shei of World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), won 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 1 bronze medal, 2017/2/17 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology became the first university to run a VR experience shop, making a leap to the market for a challenge. The "B16 VR Experience Shop", run by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, was officially opened on the 17th of February. It transformed the research and development results of teachers and students into a real thing in 2017/2/9 2016 Peopo Citizen News Awards: Department of Information and Communication, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology Department, won "News Project—News Citizen News Award." Department of Information and Communication, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology Department, participated in the 2016 Peopo Citizen News Awards, and the team—Yu-Yu Chen and 7 other students—won 2017/2/8 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology participated in the 2016 Taichung Cup National Creativity Competition and won the gold medal of innovative service.
