2017/2/17 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology became the first university to run a VR experience shop, making a leap to the market for a challenge. The "B16 VR Experience Shop", run by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, was officially opened on the 17th of February. It transformed the research and development results of teachers and students into a real thing in 2017/2/9 2016 Peopo Citizen News Awards: Department of Information and Communication, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology Department, won "News Project—News Citizen News Award." Department of Information and Communication, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology Department, participated in the 2016 Peopo Citizen News Awards, and the team—Yu-Yu Chen and 7 other students—won 2017/2/8 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology participated in the 2016 Taichung Cup National Creativity Competition and won the gold medal of innovative service. The Department of Innovative Product Design and Electronic Engineering Department, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, participated in the 2016 Taichung Cup National Creativity Competition, sponsored by the 2017/2/7 Cheers Magazine published the results of its survey on Top 20 Best Performing Universities of 2017 in Taiwan: Southern Taiwan University of Science and Cheers Magazine held the awards ceremony for the 2017 Top 20 Best Performing Universities in Taiwan and released its recent survey on the 7th of February at the National Taiwan University International Conference Center. Southern 2017/2/3 Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, participated in the first UPLAN Cup Fantasy Journey Planning Contest and won the second place.
