公告內容	台中市梧棲區1家8人凌晨疑因一氧化碳中毒，出現頭暈、肢體無力，甚至抽搐與眼睛上吊等嚴重反應，經送醫以高壓氧治療，病況穩定，住院觀察。台中市消防局勘查，現場使用燃氣熱水器為一般屋外型並裝設於4樓後側陽台加裝窗戶處，研判疑似因通風不良導致一氧化碳產生蓄積，飄向室內而發生中毒情形。天氣寒冷，若熱水器、瓦斯燃燒發生於密閉陽台內，更容易導致一氧化碳中毒，即使陽台窗戶有打開，但如果天氣寒冷窗戶打開太小，通風不良仍有可能一氧化碳中毒。若在家出現頭痛、頭暈、噁心、嘔吐、呼吸急促、全身痠痛、倦怠等異常症狀時，要警覺可能是一氧化碳中毒，立即打開窗戶通風，並就醫檢查或撥打119電話求助。學務處生活輔導組關心您 Eight members of a family in Wuqi District, Taichung City, suffered suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in the early hours of the morning. They experienced severe reactions including dizziness, weakness, convulsions, and even upward rolling of the eyes. After being rushed to the hospital and receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy, their condition has stabilized, and they are currently hospitalized for observation. The Taichung City Fire Department's investigation revealed that the gas water heater used at the scene was a standard outdoor model installed on the fourth-floor rear balcony with an added window. It is believed that poor ventilation led to the accumulation of carbon monoxide, which then drifted into the room, causing the poisoning. In cold weather, if a water heater or gas appliance is burning in a closed balcony, carbon monoxide poisoning is more likely to occur. Even if the balcony window is open, if the window is only slightly open due to cold weather, poor ventilation can still lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. If you experience unusual symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, body aches, or fatigue at home, be alert to the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning.
