Chang Jung Christian University is offering six MOOC (Modified Online Courses) spring semester courses: "The Battle for the Future: Climate Impact and Risk Assessment," "The Green Gold Era: New Energy Transition and Regeneration," "Becoming a Front-End Designer: Learning Web Design Through HTML + CSS," "The Magic of Data Storytelling: Data Visualization Design," "Environmental Conservation: Roots & Shoots of Formosa 2.0," and "Investment and Financial Management: Amplifying Your Dreams, Earning Your First Pot of Gold!" The content is also suitable for high school and vocational school teachers to self-study programming courses and for civil servants to earn study hours. II. Course Period: March 11 to August 26, 2026 III. Course Information (I) Future Defense: Climate Impact and Risk Assessment (Taught entirely in English) 1. Instructors: Chen Chung-Yu, Chuang Chi-Yu, Wu Shu-Hsing 2. Course Content: This course cultivates analytical skills regarding the impacts of climate change, providing a systematic approach to understanding how to structure Climate Change Financial Disclosures (TCFDs), thereby training organizations and businesses to adapt to climate change. 3. Course Content: Covering energy use and environmental regulations, basic energy knowledge, management and assessment, renewable energy and energy management systems, this integrated course cultivates energy management talent, assisting businesses in implementing energy management, improving efficiency, and reducing energy expenditures. 3. Course Content: Introduces the basic concepts and development environment of front-end web design. Main content includes HTML/HTML5 elements/tags, how to configure web page layouts and styles using CSS/CSS3, and front-end web design programming syntax writing, debugging, and tracing. 3. Course Content: Introduces several popular data visualization tools, teaching how to effectively use charts to present data and analysis results, and how to uncover accurate and interesting facts from raw data. No-Code visualization tools and Python programming language execution suites are also provided to familiarize interested students with the operation of different software! 3. Course Content: Combining ecological conservation, environmental education, and social practice, this course covers Taiwan's natural ecology exploration, watershed school surveys, paper brick house building, and community outreach activities. Through field investigations, collaborative experiences, and civic participation, it cultivates participants' environmental awareness and action, and promotes sustainable development and social concern. 3. Course Website: https://reurl.cc/R2dXl9 (VI) Investment and Financial Management: The Dream Gold Amplification Technique – Rolling in Your First Pot of Gold! 1. Instructor: Teacher Chen Chen-yu 2. Course Content: This course helps those with limited financial resources avoid financial pitfalls in the early stages of financial management, understand the benefits of compound interest, plan to accumulate their first pot of gold, and recognize the advantages and disadvantages of financial stocks.
