Professor John Clarke, Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley, was awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics for his groundbreaking research in macroscopic quantum tunneling and energy quantization. His research laid a crucial foundation for cutting-edge technologies such as superconducting quantum computing and precision quantum sensing. II.
