一、配合2030雙語政策，教育部推動十二年國民基本教育課程新課綱、高教深耕計畫與大專校院學生雙語化學習計畫(BEST)，並因應國際化及強化學生對科學與科普專業英文知能，國立臺灣科學教育館與國立臺灣師範大學及各縣市教育局等合作，推動科學與科普專業英文能力大賽，以符應新課綱外語能力與多元化素養及豐富學生學習歷程資
料、雙語化學習與深耕計畫等多項需求，培養學生科學科普與英語文學習興趣，特辦理本大賽與教師增能研習會，
敬邀各校師生踴躍報名參加。
二、為鼓勵師生踴躍參與，本競賽無需收取報名與檢測費用，採網路即測即評方式辦理，旨揭區域賽共分為五個區域，如有變動則以本活動網站公告為主：
(一)東區：涵蓋基隆市、宜蘭縣、花蓮縣。
１、競賽地點：國立宜蘭大學。
２、競賽時間：114年11月15日（週六），10月24日(週五)截止報名。
(二)北一區：涵蓋基隆市、臺北市、新北市、連江縣、金門縣。
１、競賽地點：新北市立三重商工。
２、競賽時間：114年12月6日（週六），11月14日（週五）截止報名。
(三)北二區：涵蓋桃園市、新北市、新竹縣、苗栗縣。
１、競賽地點：健行科技大學。
２、競賽時間：114年11月22日（週六），10月31日（週五）截止報名。
(四)中區：涵蓋臺中市、彰化縣、南投縣、雲林縣。
１、競賽地點：中臺科技大學。
２、競賽時間：114年11月29日（週六），11月7日（週五）截止報名。
(五)南區：涵蓋雲林縣、嘉義市、嘉義縣、臺南市、高雄
市、屏東縣、臺東縣、澎湖縣、連江縣、金門縣。
１、競賽地點：正修科技大學。
２、競賽時間：114年12月13日（週六），11月21日（週五）截止報名。
(六)總決賽預定於115年3月21日（週六），地點待確認(於國立臺灣科學教育館或新北市立三重商工或邀請之學校辦
理)。
(七)敬請通知貴校（或院系、科）相關科學科普教師、專業科目教師或英語文教師、雙語教師及相關各教學中心或
處室，列入學期活動行事曆。
(八)參賽對象與資格：
１、就讀高中（含技術型高中）之在學學生（每位參賽學生需有一位指導老師）。
２、大學（專）院校（含研究所）之在學學生（參加「大學青年組」，每位參賽學生需有一位指導老師）。
３、現任學校教師（須持有教師證或學校聘書，無者由學校開立證明）。
(九)本競賽內容：分為科學專業英文詞彙項目、科普專業英文詞彙項目等兩類。
１、科學專業英文詞彙項目：數學、生物科學、物理、化學、地球科學、腦科學等科目。
２、科普專業英文詞彙項目：自然科學、生活與資訊科技、人工智慧、環境科學、生物科技等科目。以上科
目若有增添，以競賽網路公告更新科目為主。
３、總決賽將續辦Speaking Tests口說測驗項目，敬請相關教師事先關注。
三、旨揭賽事說明暨教師增能研習會辦理3場，每場研習採數位線上研習(Google Meet)為主，請於各研習會兩天前完成報名，教師研習報名網址、辦理時間與研習代碼如下：

1. In line with the 2030 Bilingual Policy, the Ministry of Education promotes the new 12-year national basic education curriculum, the Higher Education Deepening Program, and the Bilingual Learning Program for College and University Students (BEST). In response to internationalization and strengthening students' English knowledge of science and popular science, the National Taiwan Science Education Center cooperates with the National Taiwan Normal University and various county and city education bureaus to promote the Science and Popular Science Professional English Proficiency Competition to meet the new curriculum foreign language proficiency and diversified literacy and enrich students' learning process resources.
In order to meet the needs of students in science popularization and English learning, this competition and teacher empowerment seminar are specially organized.
Teachers and students from all schools are cordially invited to sign up and participate.
2. In order to encourage teachers and students to actively participate, this competition does not charge registration and testing fees. It is conducted through online testing and evaluation. The regional competition is divided into five regions. If there are any changes, the announcement on this event website will be the main one:
(1) East Region: Covering Keelung City, Yilan County, and Hualien County.
1. Competition location: National Ilan University.
2. Competition time: November 15, 2025 (Sat.), registration deadline is October 24 (Fri.).
(2) Northern District 1: covers Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Lienchiang County, and Kinmen County.
1. Competition location: New Taipei City Sanchong Industrial and Commercial University.
2. Competition time: December 6, 2025 (Sat.), registration deadline is November 14 (Fri.).
(3) Northern Region II: covers Taoyuan City, New Taipei City, Hsinchu County, and Miaoli County.
1. Competition location: Jianxing University of Science and Technology.
2. Competition time: November 22, 2025 (Sat.), registration deadline is October 31 (Fri.).
(4) Central Region: covers Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, and Yunlin County.
1. Competition location: Chung Tai University of Science and Technology.
2. Competition time: November 29, 2025 (Sat.); registration deadline is November 7 (Fri.).
(5) Southern Region: covers Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung
City, Pingtung County, Taitung County, Penghu County, Lienchiang County, and Kinmen County.
1. Competition location: Cheng Shiu University of Technology.
2. Competition time: December 13, 2025 (Sat.), registration deadline is November 21 (Fri.).

8. Participants and Qualifications:
1. Students currently studying in high school (including technical high schools) (each participating student must have a mentor).
2. Students currently studying in universities, colleges, and universities (including graduate schools) (To participate in the “University Youth Group”, each participating student must have a supervisor).
3. Current school teachers (must hold a teaching certificate or a school appointment letter; if not, a certificate must be issued by the school).
(7) Contents of this competition: It is divided into two categories: scientific professional English vocabulary project and popular science professional English vocabulary project.
1. English vocabulary items for science majors: mathematics, biological sciences, physics, chemistry, earth sciences, brain sciences and other subjects.
2. Popular science English vocabulary items: natural science, life and information technology, artificial intelligence, environmental science, biotechnology and other subjects. If there are any additions to the above subjects, the updated subjects will be announced on the competition website.
3. The final will continue to hold the Speaking Tests, so please pay attention to it in advance.
3. There will be 3 competitions and teacher empowerment workshops. Each workshop will be conducted through digital online learning (Google Meet). 7. This competition provides professional English diversified online and offline practice and assessment resources and operation introduction videos. Please encourage teachers and students to download the software from the competition website, make good use of the learning resources, and practice at home or at school.
8. Please inform your school’s teachers and students to participate and grant them official leave. If any of the organizers or participants win any prize, they will be awarded according to their respective responsibilities and regulations.
