I. With the Qingming Festival holiday approaching, to prevent traffic accidents and injuries/fatalities caused by students traveling, please note the following:
(I) Strengthen traffic safety awareness campaigns before the holiday. When traveling in groups, pay close attention to road conditions, especially at turns, downhill sections, and intersections. Slow down and avoid fatigue driving.
(II) Motorcyclists must wear qualified helmets at all times. Continue to reinforce the concepts of "danger perception," "right-of-way awareness," and "paying attention to the road ahead," cultivating good road habits and establishing a culture of "pedestrian priority" and "defensive driving" to create a safe traffic environment.
(III) Traffic safety awareness for key groups (freshmen, part-time students, international students, and continuing education students, etc.).
(IV) Motorcycle riders must abide by traffic rules and refrain from dangerous behaviors such as unlicensed driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving while fatigued to prevent traffic accidents. II. The Ministry of Education has commissioned the National Taiwan University of Arts to produce campus safety materials, including one animated video, "Traffic Safety at the Corner" (https://youtu.be/-eB1XFn1JAg), and nine picture cards (https://reurl.cc/EQMzQg). Schools are encouraged to incorporate these materials into their traffic safety campaigns to enhance their effectiveness. Additionally, schools can utilize the "168 Traffic Safety Portal" provided by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to offer relevant traffic safety videos and materials, thereby reducing student traffic accidents and injuries.
III. Students are encouraged to cultivate good road habits, establish a culture of "pedestrian priority" and "defensive driving," and create a safe traffic environment. The "Campus Traffic Risk Map Zone" (https://reurl.cc/9bZo2j) can be used to further promote awareness.
