中央氣象署豪雨監測預報，受到低壓帶及西南風持續影響，入夜仍有大雨至局部豪雨或短延時強降雨的發生，恐有致災之虞，且連日豪雨本市已多處積淹水需善後清理，為維護市民安全及重建家園，依據「天然災害停止上班上課作業辦法」第4條第3款規定，臺南市政府宣布本市明(8/24)日停止上班及停止上課。

Announcement of Suspension of Work and Classes on August 24
According to the heavy rain monitoring and forecast issued by the Central Weather Administration (CWA), the persistent influence of the low-pressure system and southwesterly winds is expected to bring heavy rain, locally torrential rain, and short-duration intense rainfall into the night, posing a potential risk of disasters.
In addition, several areas of Tainan City have experienced flooding and water accumulation following consecutive days of heavy rainfall, requiring cleanup and restoration efforts. In order to safeguard the safety of citizens and facilitate the restoration and rebuilding of affected areas, and pursuant to Article 4, Subparagraph 3 of the Regulations Governing the Suspension of Work and Classes Due to Natural Disasters, the Tainan City Government hereby announces that work and classes will be suspended throughout Tainan City tomorrow, August 24 (Monday).
