A recent tragic incident involving a university student who rode a motorcycle to Wuling Mountain at night and was killed in a serious traffic accident while returning has once again highlighted the dangers of nighttime riding, long-distance travel, and mountain roads.
To protect the safety of all faculty and students, please observe the following:
1. Avoid nighttime rides to Mountain or remote mountain areas
Long-distance riding at night can be extremely dangerous due to insufficient sleep, fatigue, reduced alertness, and unfamiliar mountain roads.
2. Never drive when fatigued
Lack of sleep and prolonged riding can significantly reduce your reaction time, concentration, and ability to make safe decisions.
If you feel tired or drowsy, stop riding immediately and take a proper break. Never force yourself to continue.
3. Slow down and ride carefully on mountain roads
Mountain roads often have sharp curves, limited visibility, and heavy vehicles. Maintain a safe following distance, avoid speeding or unsafe overtaking, and pay close attention to road conditions.
4. Always use proper safety equipment
Always wear a properly fitted helmet and obey traffic regulations. Do not take unnecessary risks simply to keep up with friends or reach your destination faster.
Your Safety Matters
One moment of adventure can change a family’s life forever.
Please do not risk your life for a short-lived thrill or a beautiful view.
“No night rides. No fatigue driving. No speeding. No unnecessary risks.”
The most important journey is the one that gets you home safely.
