New Year concert was held in Tainan Cultural & Creative Park, with singers and
groups invited to sing and dance

In order to meet the arrival of spring, B16 Cultural and Creative Park in Tainan held the “2016 New Year Party” Live Concert on January 2 in B16 Square. Popular singers and groups were invited, including “Free Authority,” “Me Stars,” “Green Lakeside Orchestra,” Reid and Rui-Feng Tsai for joint performances. A greate variety of musical styles were presented in their performances, giving the audience a feast of brand new visual and auditory effects. In addition to musical performances, lottery activities were provided by sponsors. Crown Technology Co. offered the biggest prize—an electric bicycle—for the night. The event was attractive to many people with its bustling scenes, and the music for the New Year was a wonderful kick off.

Yi-Feng Wang, General Manager of Tainan Cultural & Creative Park, said that the Tainan Cultural and Creative park "BigParty" series of activities would continue on from Christmas to the New Year. There would be many exciting programs; in addition to the Christmas Lighting, it was a great thing at the beginning of 2016 to bring forth a new concert, inviting a new generation of young singers and groups and the Tainan local orchestra to present different musical genres, in response to the popular music industry in southern Taiwan as a fertile ground for the B16 Tainan Cultural and Creative Park. Wang also stressed that after the taking-over of the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, we hope that exhibitions, lectures, music, street performances, and other activities can bring citizens closer to Tainan Cultural & Creative Park, where they do not have to buy any ticket. It is a free public space for both citizens and tourists.

Tainan Cultural and Creative Industrial Park is now actively promoting pop music industry. In addition to its bringing in the performances of the Department of Pop Music at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, the Park will also see the official opening of "Live House" next year. Wang pointed out that, in addition to occasional lectures by music masters in the future, music scholars and industry representatives would also be invited, such as record companies, stage companies, and agencies. Forums would also be organized to activate the music industry in southern Taiwan.

In order to render the creative atmosphere of local art and culture to tourists and the rest of the public, Tainan Cultural and Creative Park particularly organized a series of activities for the citizens during the Spring Festival, which were appropriate for family planning or activities of different age group. The contents included distribution of red envelopes, spring lottery games, etc. It also specifically use the outdoor plaza to plan New Year Bazaar, couplets writing, children's theater, street performers, and many other performances. The Park was full of atmosphere of the New Year. We welcome citizens every day during the New Year period.
