南台科技大學舉辦「2010亞洲青少年能源創新發明展」
首度在台舉辦 發掘更多青少年發明家
南台科技大學於7月10、11日在該校三連堂舉辦「2010亞洲青少年能源創新發明展」。由國科會科教處「能源國家型人才培育計畫」補助以及「亞洲發明協會聯盟總會」授權下，首度在台灣舉辦大型的發明展。希望藉此增進我國國內青少年投入能源領域創意及發明的動力，並透過來自世界各國參展團隊的參與，為我國創意產業及青少年發明家建構同好的交流平台，以提升我國在世界各地發明領域的能見度與知名度，意義非凡。
南台科大校長戴謙表示，歡迎來自亞洲各國及國內青少年發明家共同來參加此場盛會，如此大規模的發明展能在台灣舉辦，真是台灣的驕傲與榮耀。創意是不分國界、不分年齡，而我們日常生活周遭所接觸的皆是創新發明的來源，對於節能減碳與自然生態保護，台灣皆扮演著重要角色。希望青年朋友能藉由此平台互相交流學習，激發更多的發明作品。
本次展覽共計國內外 80件能源相關作品展出，包括我國作品38件以及亞洲各國（馬來西亞、韓國、印尼、香港）42件作品參與展出。除授權單位「亞洲發明協會聯盟總會」由會長 Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Augustine S. H. Ong 與台灣國科會副主委周景揚親自與會外，更有多國教育單位相關長官來台，其中更邀請到印度尼西亞科學研究所（LIPI）新任主席 Prof.Lukman Hakim 偕該國學生創作者來台與會，更顯各國單位對本次展覽的重視程度，總計四個國家35人次組團來台參展。
本次大會共設置金牌、銀牌、銅牌等獎項，藉此創新發明平台突顯亞洲各國青少年在能源創新領域的成就。希望藉由此活動能將綠色能源科技有所創新突破，並減緩地球暖化現象。
