The "H❤U Entrepreneurship Team" of the Department of International Business, STUST, won first place in the Entrepreneurship Group of the 2022 Jingying Cup Three Innovation Competition for Colleges and Universities.《2022/7/1》

    

The 2022 Jingying Cup Three Innovation Competition for Colleges and Universities held an online award ceremony recently. The "H❤U Entrepreneurship Team" of the Department of International Business, STUST, won first place in the Entrepreneurship Group, standing out from many strong teams and winning first place in the Entrepreneurship.

This team, jointly guided by Prof. Wei-zhen Yang from the Department of International Business and Prof. Jia-jun Lin from the Department of Visual Communication Design, was composed of six students, including Cong-sao Chen, Yi-wen Luo, Shao-juan Wang, Yi-ting Chen, Chi-shiang Liu, and Yu-wen Xu. The main products of the start-up were kitchen facilities that were multi-functional and environmentally friendly. Their 5-year marketing strategy and short, medium and long-term financial plans were presented in their business idea book, from developing products, finding manufacturers, marketing products, to selling products, they responded to environmental protection, designed a complete process for commercialization of green production and sales processes, complete business modules and practical capabilities, coupled with excellent on-site presentation performance and team spirit, the performance of the winning team of STUST was unanimously favored by the judges and given a high acclaim.

Due to the pandemic, the competition was changed into an online review of business plans and presentation videos. Chairman Tian-wang Tsao, one of the judges, said that the cooperation between team members was very important; at the same time, whether they had paid attention to the issues of environmental protection and sustainable development would be added by the reviewers. The members of the "H❤U Entrepreneurship Team" of STUST included graduate students, current graduates, junior and sophomore students, and foreign students. It was a cross-field and cross-national team. The team's briefing showed clear rhythm and great cooperation, showing marvelous teamwork and a high degree of completion in the products. The products they designed not only focused on storage, functionality and practicability, but also adhered to the environmental protection concept of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), realizing the ideal of sustainable development.

Deng-maw Lu, President of STUST, said that STUST has been committed to promoting innovative and creative activities. Over the years, it has established a mature cultivation mechanism to encourage students to participate in competitions inside and outside the school. The three innovation activities organized by STUST, in addition to stimulating students to show their practical ability of creativity and innovation, can lead students to seek an ideal entrepreneurial model and cultivate students' concepts and abilities on the basis of future entrepreneurship. The team was so great that it was awarded first prize in the Entrepreneurship Group of the nationwide Three Innovation Competition for Colleges and Universities.” It is hoped that in the future, the student team can enhance their practical experience and make use of the knowledge they have learned in school.
